E-book platform Bibliomundi is the new member of Brazilian Publishers
Bibliomundi was just included in the list of members of Brazilian Publishers, an industry project fostering the exports of Brazilian editorial content by means of a partnership between the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
Created in 2014, the company is a free platform for the publication and distribution of e-books. Aiming at integrating even more the editorial markets with technology and leading the e-book revolution, Bibliomundi provides services for independent authors, stores and publishing houses.
To have an e-book “self-published” on the platform, you just have to add a file including the final version of the book or write it directly at the website. Within 72 hours the e-book will be available in all stores. Bibliomundi offers a step-by-step guide for publication, including ISBN registration, and also assures writers will get 70 per cent of the net revenue from the sale of books as royalties. According to Raphael Secchin, founder of Bibliomundi, the publishing company publishes books of several genres. In an interview to the “Projeto Draft” website, Raphael explained that his experience in the publishing market helped him to realize that many writers had been rejected before becoming bestsellers worldwide. “We believe everybody must have the right of publishing and access to appropriate tools to do it, since that’s the way of finding books that are ahead of the curve”, he said.
To Fernanda Dantas, International Affairs Manager of CBL and Manager of Brazilian Publishers, Bibliomundi is an excellent supporting tool for independent authors: “I believe that, as adherence to the project increases, the platform will have more and more power to grow overseas and help to disseminate even more the Brazilian editorial content in the international market”, she says.
Currently, 67 Brazilian publishing houses are members of Brazilian Publishers, which promotes the participation of professionals from the Brazilian publishing market in international events and the connection with professionals abroad.
