Internationalization of Brazilian books is the theme of a roundtable at Flip
The Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) will be part of the program of Flip (Paraty International Literary Festival) by means of its participation in the roundtable “Books in transit: the internationalization of Brazilian literature”. The discussion will take place in July 12th, at 3:00 p.m., at Casa PublishNews, in the city of Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, and it will address themes related to the opportunities and challenges of the internationalization of the Brazilian books.

Fischer Verlag; Nicole Witt, from Mertin Literary Agency, specialized in literature in Portuguese language; Fernando Rinaldi, in charge of the sale of international rights for Companhia das Letras; and Socorro Acioli, writer of the book entitled “A cabeça do santo” (The head of the saint), published by Companhia das Letras in Brazil and released in France, England and the USA, and finalist of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
On the same day at 11:00 a.m., CBL’s Commission for the Promotion of Portuguese Language Content (CPCLP) will also participate in the roundtable “Portuguese language and the Mozambican culture” to discuss the promotion of the Portuguese language abroad within the economic, literary and cultural scope.
