Registration for the Ibero-American Illustration Catalog 2019 is open until April 26
In a partnership with the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), SM Foundation opens the registration for the 10th edition of Ibero-American Illustration Catalog, which has as its purpose to promote the work of Ibero-American illustrators of books for children and young people. Besides the US$ 5,000 prize, the winner will create an exclusive illustration for the catalog cover and collaborate with the drawing of the call for the next edition of the catalog.
Illustrators of books for children or young people born in any country of Iberian-America who are over 21 years old can participate. Such professionals may register individually or as a group providing a minimum of three and a maximum of five new free-themed illustrations that are part of a series and presented as a consistent narrative sequence.
Registrations can be made until April 26 at the catalog website. All illustrators selected will be part of the 10th edition of Ibero-American Illustration Catalog, which will be released during the Guadalajara International Book Fair.
The winner will be announced in July 31 and receive the prize during the ceremony, to be held in December 3, during FIL. The selected works will be exhibited during the event that will take place from November 30 to December 8.
