Tabla-Roça Nova and IMEPH join the Brazilian delegation to the London Book Fair

Brazil is going to the United Kingdom to participate of The London Book Fair with a bigger team, including two publishers that just joined it. Tabla-Roça Nova and IMEPH are occupying the last spots in the booth organized by Brazilian Publishers –  an industry project fostering exports of Brazilian editorial content through a partnership between the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil)

This will be the first participation of Brazilian Publishers in the London Book Fair. It was announced that the Program would take 10 publishers to the event, and all those interested in making part of the delegation submitted their entry forms quickly. So, because of the high number of entries received, BP made an extra effort and now is going to take 12 publishers to the fair. Tabla-Roça Nova and IMEPH are the two additional publishing houses that had joined the team.

The group is also composed of the following publishing companies: UBook, Faro Editorial, Editora Jaguatirica, Girassol Brasil, Panda Books, Ateliê da Escrita, Companhia das Letras, Bibliex, Melhorpubli and Senac SP.

Brazilian Publishers will take the Brazilian publishers to share the stand with the Embassy of Brazil in London. This year’s edition of the event is scheduled for March 10th-12th. “It is easy to understand why so many publishers were interested in participating in the London Book Fair: it is widely known as a major trend setter. Having Brazilian Publishers there – and taking 12 publishing houses with it – gives a great visibility to our market, and also makes us to be seen as providers of high-quality contents”, states Fernanda Dantas, International Affairs Manager of CBL and Manager of Brazilian Publishers.

Seminar

In addition to the stand, the presence of Brazil will also be highlighted by a seminar. Fernanda Dantas and Karine Pansa, Publishing Director of Girassol Brasil and Director of CBL, will talk about business opportunities in Brazil to the international visitors of the event. The seminar is scheduled for March 11th. For further information about it, click here (link of the news about the seminar).
