The Brazilian National Library / Ministry of Culture supports the promotion of Brazilian books abroad through financial incentives for publishers, cultural institutions and translators.

Support for the Translation and Publication of Brazilian Authors Abroad
Foreign publishers may request a grant of up to US$ 2.000 for the translation and publication of works by Brazilian authors. In the case of reprints, grants of up to US$ 2.000 are available. Over the last 20 years, some 700 grants have been given to publishers from over 40 countries.

International Exchange Program for Brazilian Authors
Foreign publishers and cultural institutions may apply for grants up of US$ 2.000 to cover the travel expenses of Brazilian authors participating in literary festivals, books tours and residency programs, among other professional activities.

Publishers from CPLP (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor and Portugal) may request support for the publication of Brazilian authors.
