Brazilian Publishers announces Professional Days in the 1st Online Edition of the São Paulo Book Fair


The second edition of Professional Days has been confirmed. The initiative developed by Brazilian Publishers, an industry project fostering exports of Brazilian editorial content through a partnership between the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), consists of a series of business rounds destined for international and national publishers.

This year, the initiative will include more than 50 Brazilian and foreign companies, which expect to have USD 400 thousand generated as results of deals closed in the next 12 months. On the exclusive platform developed for Professional Days, participants will have the chance of meeting their peers, showing their catalogs and new titles and scheduling meetings from December 7th to 11th.

Also, the “Papo de Mercado” (Market Talk) area, which is part of the program of the fair and organized by the initiative, includes three roundtables that will discuss important themes for the industry and are scheduled to happen in December 7th, 9th and 11th. In its first edition, held in 2018, during the in-person edition of the São Paulo Book Fair, Professional Days had the participation of 58 publishers, among national and international, and USD 730 thousand were generated as results of deals closed in 12 months.

Digital transformation and challenges for the publishing industry after the pandemic
