Catalog of losses is inspired by the collection of the Museum of Broken Relationships (Zagreb, Croatia), which brings together in temporary exhibitions reports and objects sent by people from all over the world – catalytic symbols of their “departed” relationships. It presents diverse narratives of loss written by João Anzanello Carrascoza and photographed by Juliana Monteiro Carrascoza. Bleeding into two supports – in alphabetical order, however, able to be enjoyed in any sequence -, the stories provide a double aesthetic experience. This “catalog” thus interweaves two lines of force: the writing of the word and the writing of light, the literary tale and visual art, fiction and photography. A collection of definite losses, never forgotten, but undeniably resulting in a human gain for the reader.
